BALTIMORE (February 8, 2006) – Fleet Street Redevelopment, LLC, a joint venture between Chesapeake Real Estate Group and Holland Properties, Inc. announced the leasing of 1407 Fleet Street. The 34,000 square foot building is located in the Fells Point Historic District and is also known as the Broom Corn Building.

The building, constructed in 1915, was most recently a soap factory until its conversion to office and retail in 2005. The team utilized State and Federal Historic Tax Credits to assist in financing the preservation project.

Educate, Inc. leased approximately 20,000 square feet and Laureate Education, Inc. leased approximately 7,000 square feet of office space. blueHouse, home store and café, leased 7,000 square feet of retail space.
