BALTIMORE (April 19, 2006) - Waste Management is relocating their truck facility located at 6333 McGaw Court in Howard County to a new, larger facility at 3545 Fairfield Road in Baltimore City. The current operation employs 140 office staff, maintenance and repair technicians and drivers. Growth is planned at the new facility. Waste Management plans to invest over $5 million in acquisition and development of the 11 acre site. The site is located in the Fairfield Ecological Park.
Chesapeake Real Estate Group, LLC is the developer and its newly-formed subsidiary Bay Contracting, LLC is the general contractor on the project. The site is currently owned by Chesapeake and is being sold to Waste Management. Chesapeake plans additional development on the adjacent 10 acre property it owns. Waste Management’s new facility is planned for completion before the end of the year.
