Lighthizer, Schmidt Establish Chesapeake Real Estate Group

Jim Lighthizer and Doug Schmidt, long-time employees of CB Richard Ellis, have left their positions to form a full-service brokerage and development company, Chesapeake Real Estate Group (CREG), in Glen Burnie.

Lighthizer, an industrial broker, is currently marketing one of Baltimore’s largest new development projects, Baltimore Crossroads @ 95. Schmidt focuses on office leasing and sales and was one of the key listing agents on Canton’s new Brewers Hill development, a Struever Bros. project that landed Elder Health, Inc. and MetLife as tenants.

Will McCullough, formerly of Colliers Pinkard, joined CREG as senior vice president, managing the industrial brokerage division. His focus is primarily on landlord and tenant representation in the Corridor. Gregory Horne left CoStar Group after 13 years to join CREG as a vice president. He will handle information management, identifying development opportunities and managing client relationships.

Rounding the employee roster at CREG is Al Simmons, a certified public accountant, who serves as the CFO; Leasing Agent for Ed Brady, Director of Marketing Anne Wheeler (also formerly of CB Richard Ellis) and Marketing Specialist Pamela Schifflett.
