Chesapeake Real Estate Group to Offer Full Service Brokerage
Three prominent players in Baltimore’s commercial real estate market, James Lighthizer, Douglas Schmidt and William McCullough, have formed a new company called Chesapeake Real Estate Group, LLC (CREG) that will focus on brokerage and development.
Lighthizer and Schmidt, the two founding principals, left their long-time positions at CB Richard Ellis in Baltimore to form the new company.
McCullough, a broker who spent many years with Colliers Pinkard, has joined CREG as a senior vice president.
Lighthizer, who joined CB Richard Ellis in 1989, is considered one of the region’s top industrial real estate brokers, while Schmidt focuses on office leasing and sales.
CREG is currently handling one of the largest development projects in Baltimore County, Baltimore Crossroads, among other projects.
The moves follow others that have shaken up the Baltimore real estate market. Last month, Bob Manekin and Michael Singer, both formerly of Robert Manekin Partners LLC, left to beef up the office services capabilities at
national tenant rep firm The Staubach Co., which opened a Baltimore office in 2003.
