In early 2005, Jim Lighthizer and Doug Schmidt formed Chesapeake Real Estate Group, a regional development and brokerage firm located in the Baltimore-Washington corridor.

After three years, the company's development now has over 3.5 million s/f of industrial, office, and retail projects planned or under development.
